I recently just started using twitter for my business Madison Web Design I find it amazing I started with 0 followers and people just add me hoping I will follow them back… You really don’t need to do any work with twitter to get people!

At the risk of outing myself as a self-absorbed narcissistic maniac obsessed with my social status … I kind of like Qwitter.

I agree that it does come in batches, which seems odd. (I’ll go weeks without a Qwit and then get 15 in one day — all on the same tweet.)

I agree that it’s useless. I know I should quit qwitter, but I can’t. It’s just oddly fun — like flossing your teeth until they are perfectly clean.

It doesn’t bum me out if someone qwits me. I don’t really care, although if I’m following them, I may qwit them. (Is that spiteful? I just figure if they don’t want to follow me, why should I follow them.)

But with that said, I realize Qwitter is probably one of the most useless twitter tools that exist.

Yet, it gives me something to chuckle about to my co-workers. “Good grief, three people qwit me after my tweet about watching tuna get fed at the Monterey Aquarium … Isn’t that weird.” (True story, by the way.)

Maybe I’m just hard up for small-talk topics.

This is a good point about qwitter being a bit negative. I was using it and to be honest with you I never thought of it as negative but I do see you point. If you are going to start second guessing what you tweet about and not be your natural self then that is not a good thing. However that being said I think quitter has quit anyways. I have not gotten any emails from them in quite some time and I know there are people unfollowing me.

Thanks for the point of view. I suppose I would stop using it if it was still working.

I, of course, had to try Qwitter when I first heard of it. Well let's go with the obvious. Qwitter doesn't even work. But even if it did, to assume that a person quit following you directly because of the tweet that immediately preceeded it is the fallacy of mistaking chronological succession for cause. Example: I raise my hand and subsequently you fart. Did my raising my hand cause you to fart? Probably not. It is excessively narcissistic to assume that everything is caused by something you did or said. The qwitter probably didn't even see the tweet in question. He may have just decided to quit following everyone who doesn't live in his neighborhood, or everyone who doesn't do what he does for a living or whatever. colleen’s last blog post..Blogging is the Root of all Evil

@Andreah Howdy, glad you could provide such a great feedback. Yes I have heard many people glitching about qwitter lately especially with the system wide delete Twitter did recently. You hit it right on the head focusing on how many followers is a waste and important. Glad you could provide some feedback thanks!
