Social Media the New Guy

Social Media may all be new to the world but it is increasing popularity like wildfire.  More and more of the online population is getting either acquainted or familiar with Social Media every day.

How does this affect other avenues, like employment?

Indeed http://www.indeed.com is a great one stop resource to find all your job search information.  Not only does indeed find multiple job postings from multiple job boards, Indeed also displays Salary, Trends and Forum information to supplement.

I have included a graph that shows from 2005 to current, Social Media Jobs have increased by 325%, this is astounding!  More and more employers are seeking positions to be filled with their company.  Try doing a quick search on Indeed for Social Media jobs and see for yourself.

Social Media does take on many forms from communications via the Internet but not only the term Social Media has been increasing, most popular terms like Blogging and Consultants have seen an increase as well.  Darren Rowse(Pro Blogger) has a site just for Blog Jobs here http://jobs.problogger.net/

We may of seen a HUGE boom in this type of niche but the real question will be, “Will Social Media Jobs last?”
